How to Play

Play Unikitty Save the Kingdom game. Save the Kingdom is a 20 stage game with each level having 3 stages, giving players 60 fun platforming levels to play through to collect Sparkle Matter and save Citizens. On each level you play as Princess UniKitty, Prince Puppycorn, Dr. Fox, or Hawkodile. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Click on the green square button with the white arrow on it to start the game.
Your game progress (including levels beat, Sparkle Material collected, and Citizens saved) is stored in your local web browser.
- Clicking the trash button on the welcome screen would erase your saved game data.

  - Keyboard
    - Press the left and right arrow keys to move.
    - Press the up arrow key to jump.
    - Press the spacebar to attack.
    - Characters
      - Each stage has a character which is used to complete it.
        Princess UniKitty – can double jump by pressing up twice & attacks with her unicorn. When you hit the enter key it makes the Sparkle Material pull toward you even if you do not touch it.
        Prince Puppycorn – moves fast and can jump long distances & attacks with a vicious bite.
        Dr. Fox – has a range attack throwing vials across the screen
        Hawkodile – has a Mortal Kombat or River City Ransom styled attack sequence where the opponent is hit three times in a row.
        There is a pause button in the upper right corner of the game. When the game is paused it brings up a pause menu with 4 buttons on it

        20 Stages & 60+ Levels
        The game has 7 sections of the game: caves, town, downtown, fair, woods, walkway and castle.
        Most sections of the game have 3 stages. The castle only has 2 stages.
        Each stage has around 3 or 4 levels in it.
        You must beat each stage and level of the game to unlock subsequent stages.
        You can go back and play any stage or level you have already beat.
        Each level shows how many Citizens and pieces of Sparkle Material there are inside them.
        Some parts of the game have hidden walls you can walk through to collect Sparkle Matter and save Citizens. Typically the hidden passages will be a darker color than nearby wall or have other distinguishing marks.
        Levels may have a Citizen hidden behind a door where you have to complete a mini-level where the task is a timed level or a level with some other goal like defeating all enemies or collecting all the Sparkle Matter in it.
        If you race quickly through the level it is quite easy to miss a piece of Sparkle Matter, which will mean you have to spend a good bit of time retracing your steps to see where you missed it.
        The lower left corner of the screen shows your progress in collecting Sparkle Matter and saving Citizens, with the associated box getting a green checkmark when it is complete for that level.
        As you advance through the game the level design changes significantly to reflect different parts of the environment, though game mechanics stay the same.
        In most cases the game is quite generous with giving you a way back if you fall off the main path.
        Arrows are located throughout many levels pointing the way to the end of the level.
        Some levels have blocks you have to hit or throw stuff at to break to pass through a passage.
        The game is also quite generous with the number of heart containers you get, making it easy to race through the game without much concern for getting hit by enemies.
        You start each stage with 5 heart containers and health is fully restored at the beginning of each level.
        If you fall in the water or hit spikes you lose a heart container and are put back where you were before you hit them.
        Most enemies in the game are single-hit other than
        the worms, which take two hits
        most enemies on Hawkodile levels, which take three hits
        If you missed items you can replay that stage, though it requires you to play all levels in a stage.
