How to Play

Play Apples online for free. Apples is a 50-stage bubble shooter game where you try to clear the field of apples as quickly as possible by connecting 3 or more of the same type of apples together. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Click the black and white PLAY button on the game welcome screen.
- This will bring up the level select screen.
- Initially only the first level is unlocked. You unlock the next level each time you beat a level.
- Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
- If you have played the game in the past the welcome screen will show a continue button and a play button.
  - Click the continue button to keep playing your prior game.
  - Click on the play button to start a new game.
  - Across the top of the welcome screen there are buttons for developer information, full screen mode, and sound control.

        Tap the screen with your finger to shoot.
        Game Play
        Layout
        Across the top of the screen there is a sound control button, the current level number, the “next up” apple to shoot, a full screen button, and a close game button.’
        Your cumulative game score is shown at the bottom of the screen.
        Basics
        When you get 3 or more apples of the same color touching one another with one of them being an apple you fired those apples are removed from the playing field.
        Any apples which are beneath that run of apples which were only connected to the above area through those apples also removes.
        You can shoot directly at the desired location, or bounce your shot off the walls.
        Every 5 apples a new row at the top pushes downward. The apples begin to shake after shot number 3 then stop shaking after shot number 5 has been completed and a new row is added.
        Scoring
        If you can shoot apples in such a way that you remove many from the playing field at once you will score more points than if you remove the same number of apples using more shots.
        Your game score is cumulative across all levels.
        If you lose you can restart your game on the level you just played with your score in tact.
        Dying
        The game ends when one of the apples makes it all the way down to the same vertical plane you shoot from.
        Click on the continue button to play your game from where you were.
        Use the left or right arrow buttons at the bottom of the level select screen to scroll to the page which shows the level you were on.
        Tips & Strategy
        Take advantage of the up next feature when planning out your shot.
        If you are shooting into a tight area try to shoot in the first 3 shots where the apples are not shaking if possible & go for more conservative shots when the apples shake.
        If you know you will soon get rid of a run of apples you can fire unwanted or hard to match apples onto the end of that run so they disappear when you take out a core part of that run.
        Practice taking some unneeded bank shots in early easy levels so you are proficient at them when you get up to higher & harder levels.

        The game is suited for people of all ages who like bubble shooting games.
        The game has no adult content.
